Breaking from the tradition of strict landscape photography, I like to create images that include human elements, giving an idea of the times and culture we live in.

My love affair and obsession with the moon probably started from my mother, who would get so excited when she saw the moon coming up that she'd let out a gasp, frightening us and making us wonder what was wrong, only to have her reply, "The MOON!". Thanks mom. I love you.

One of the most exciting developments in photography in the last 5 years has been the ability to gather enough light to show the night sky in stunning detail. Maine has some really dark skies along the coast and I think nighttime can be extremely romantic and beautiful.

Sentinels of the Sea, Lighthouses are not only one of Maine's most recognizable landmarks, they also tell beautiful stories. To me, it's all about caring for each other.

The downtown areas in Maine's cities, towns, and villages offer ample photographic opportunities. The idea for this project came to mind after viewing postcards of Maine created in the late 1800's and early 1900's. There seems to have been a decline in interest in these scenes since, which I am determined to reverse.

Boats are a large part of what makes Maine special. Our coastline features some of the best boating grounds in the world, and our inland lakes and streams have been conduits of people and goods for centuries. I love traveling on the water.

Maine has some of the most scenic beaches in the country, but you have to be pretty brave to get in the water, because it's freezing cold! I actually prefer getting out on the beaches early in the morning in the fall and winter, when most folks are gone and you have these incredibly beautiful landscapes all to yourself.

New England is well known for its stunning fall foliage, and it's easy to see why.

When people I ask me what my favorite time of year is, I always reply winter. Something about the cold heightens my senses, and there aren't many things that make me happier than seeing snow.

From Brunswick to Belfast, Maine's Mid-Coast is my home and one of the most beautiful regions of the country. I feel blessed to live here.

From Kittery to Freeport, Southern Maine is the population center and economic powerhouse of the state. That said, there is still plenty of beauty to be found here.

I've haunted the streets, shops, and paths around this town for almost 20 years now. Depicting the places that are so familiar to me and sharing that story with others through these photos has been one of the most gratifying things in my life. I'm honored to document Brunswick.

My adopted home, I live just a few hundred yards from Harpswell in Brunswick, and frequently hop in the car and run down to capture the beautiful fishing villages and scenery on these long, finger-like peninsulas that reach into Casco Bay.

The city of ships is beautiful in its own right, and serves as the perfect jumping off point for excursions down the Phippsburg and Georgetown peninsulas, some of the most inspiring scenery in the state.

The biggest city in Maine, surrounded by beautiful landmarks and featuring the hustle and bustle that excites and invigorates artists and creatives.

Although most of my work features signs of human activity, this gallery contains images with almost entirely natural elements.
