Maine has some of the most scenic beaches in the country, but you have to be pretty brave to get in the water, because it's freezing cold! I actually prefer getting out on the beaches early in the morning in the fall and winter, when most folks are gone and you have these incredibly beautiful landscapes all to yourself.
