I was treated to an amazing display of light last night after shooting a wedding in Bar Harbor. Driving back across Mount Desert Island from Bass Harbor, I came across a heavy bank of fog riding up Parkman Mountain. It hovered above Northeast Harbor, with just enough of a window to allow the sun to sink below it and create this beautiful play of light through the trees. I was so excited that I brought the car to a halt on the side of Route 3. There really wasn't a good angle from the road, so I ran down an embankment to the shoreline. Sometimes you just have to get the shot.
