We had an absolute eruption of color again this morning at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. This really is the season for vibrant sunrises. It was great to be back here at one of my favorite locations. The angle of sunrise is pretty far to the south right now, so lining up an image looking northeast along the rocks is not really possible while keeping the vibrant color in the sky. For that reason, I moved up to the front of the lighthouse and framed this old bell as a foreground anchor and got the vibrant sky behind it. The color lasted about two minutes, and then was gone. I'm grateful I was there to witness it.
