The rolling hills of east central Vermont are a scenic dream any time of year, but in the fall, the intensity of the drama is certainly heightened. To me, this looks like it could have been imagined as the ideal rolling hillside, covered in cornfields, recently mowed hayfields, and rows of trees and barns. A painter couldn't have come up with much better. But in truth, this is the truth. This is what it really looked like, with the help of some late day light and a telephoto lens.
