Dark Necessities

Mark and I made our push to the summit of Chocorua after the sun had gone down, and a dreamy twilight engulfed our positions along this rocky ridge. I love the way snow looks with this alpenglow at elevation. I was taking a photo with my cell phone when I noticed how much I liked it, took out the camera, and was about to put it back when I saw that Mark had reached this small prominence up ahead. I yelled 'STOP', and he obliged and created the perfect point of interest and a beautiful storytelling image. If you look closely, you can see the first stars coming out.
