The Marshall Point Lighthouse in Port Clyde, Maine, sits on one of the most beautiful ocean outlooks in the state. Every time I visit, I'm blown away by the scenery and inspirational quality of this iconic location. This lighthouse achieved nationwide attention in the movie "Forrest Gump", when the main character runs to the 'end of the road', which is portrayed as this exact spot. Pretty neat.
This particular evening was one of the most spectacular light shows I've seen. This is the tail end of the light of day, as you can see there was a small window of light on the horizon, and the light from the beacon was starting to cast its own glow on the scene.
