Lightning over Portland Maine

A powerful bolt of lightning comes down behind the heart of downtown Portland during a beautiful summer thunderstorm. I love watching weather come in from Bug Light Park in South Portland, where I captured this from. There were a ton of other strikes, but most of them were obscured by rain or in the clouds. This was especially good fortune since I built the composition around the new tallest residential building in Maine and the pinnacle of the Portland skyline, the Casco, which was just completed last year. It was great to get out and see this!
