Royal River Ice Skaters

The best freeze in decades left the Royal River a perfect sheet of ice. I came down here after hearing that you could skate the entire river from this spot all the way to the Route 9 bridge in North Yarmouth. My friend and I clocked 16 miles, one of the most magical skating experiences ever. When I returned, I saw that there were many folks out on the ice, having fun, so I grabbed my camera and walked up onto the Elm Street Bridge and captured the old train trestle with skaters below. It really captures the magic of winter in Yarmouth.
