Fish Beach Monhegan Island

Fish Beach-

Monhegan Island is a very special place. Kim and I both absolutely love it here. It's become a tradition to go out each year as soon as the ferries start running regularly. This was our fourth visit, and it is really starting to feel familiar.

Fish Beach is where local fisherman have built workshops and launch their dinghies to get out to their boats. The water was spectacularly blue and green on this visit, and something about the bleached and weathered shingles made this feel almost tropical. That illusion was ruined as soon as we dipped our toes in the water!
